The Positive instructor training course is designed to prepare you for each of the three government tests you must pass to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). We also provide training in the important skills required to being a successful Driving Instructor, covering such topics as advanced communication development and the understanding how we really learn which leads to high pupil retention and a stress free career. We will also provide you with good business practice skills, essential ingredients in ensuring your success and earnings.
Firstly the training will set the foundations for driving and instructional ability whilst being focussed on instructor theory in preparation the Driving standards Part 1 examination. This exam comprises 100 multi choice questions and a hazard perception test. Topics covered include knowledge of the Highway Code, driving and teaching techniques and the UK driving test. We will provide reference books as well as preparation examinations and 1 to 1 tutor support in the form of face to face classroom tuition and/or distance learning, the choice is yours.
Once you have passed the Part 1 exam, we will begin the driving skills tuition, in preparation for your succesfull driving standards Part 2 examination, which is similar to an advanced driving test. The specially structured training sessions ensure your success for the Part 2 test and also start to develop your ability to instruct and part 3. We will provide full in car training as well as 1 to 1 classroom tuition.
When you have passed the Part 2 exam the final exam focus switches to teaching ability. Your training will continue as it did during the previous stage but the focus is shifted to the developing and improving your ability to teach. This stage prepares you for the Driving standards agency Part 3 examination. We will be flexible in the way we train you as we understand we all learn in different ways and different speeds. We will teach you to succeed in this examination and also the ability to become a high earning driving instructor. Our success is based on your success!

You can qualify at your own pace and fit your training around your existing job and lifestyle commitments. Intensive Training
We are in a position to offer an intensive option for your Approved Driving Instructor course. Some students prefer this because it suits their personal circumstances, the way they learn and because it reduces their training time from start to qualification. The intensive option covers the same syllabus as our standard course although is compressed to suit your requirements.
Earn While You Learn
Our courses are structured around each individual circumstances and that is your progress and availability. From when you pass the first of the qualifying tests, you have up to two years to pass the final qualifying test. At your request to and we feel you have the ability, you can begin your career as an Approved Driving Instructor very quickly on our earn while you learn scheme. Provided you pass Parts 1 and 2 in quick succession, you could start to learn while you learn with a Trainee Driving Instructor in as little as 12 weeks. The other option available to you is to wait to until you pass the final qualifying test, taking around 20 weeks, depending on test date availability and course waiting times.
